RBI Recruitment for Junior Engineer (Civil and Electrical) – 2026

Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be either: (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. A candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification (Junior Engineer - Civil)

Minimum three years Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) or a Degree in Civil Engineering. Diploma holders require a minimum of 1 year experience in civil construction/maintenance. Degree holders do not require any experience.

Educational Qualification (Junior Engineer - Electrical)

Minimum three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) or a Degree in Electrical Engineering. Diploma holders require a minimum of 1 year experience in electrical works/maintenance. Degree holders do not require any experience.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 20 to 30 years as on April 01, 2026. Candidates must have been born not earlier than April 02, 1996 and not later than April 01, 2006 (both days inclusive).
